The Spotted breed is one that has been very rewarding to us since our entry into the business and always has us on the lookout for the next piece. We had the privilege of seeing CHATTER this summer on a farm visit to Derek Moore’s and were impressed with him. He is a stress negative boar that Derek purchased from Jarrett Mays at Duncan in 2013 and is a Gossip x Transformer. We vaguely talked about inquiring him but as the summer progressed it just got left as talk as Derek didn’t seem to care if he went anywhere or not. When Derek informed us about him dispersing he made mention that he was going to offer CHATTER as well. He had an incredible summer and fall and immediately regenerated our interest. Long story short, we purchased CHATTER and are thrilled to offer him next to our solid lineup already in place. For the limited number of sows he was exposed to, he yielded successful results including the Champion Spot Gilt at the American Royal, Champion & Reserve Spot Gilts at the IL State Fair Jr. Show, Champion Bred & Owned Spot Gilt at IL State Fair Jr. Show, Reserve Champion Spot Barrow at the IL State Fair Open Show and over $10,500 in bred spot gilts sold in Derek’s dispersal sale. CHATTER is one impressive individual to view as a mature boar. Tall fronted with a great look, big bladed with a huge rib cage and expressive hip. This one from the side is awesome to view, as he is level from blade to hip. Feet and legs are ideal when placed and his range of motion is flawless. We think CHATTER will continue the legacy!
