The Berkshire breed is one we take very seriously here as we strive to be able to offer the best boars in the country. The Fall Classic Berkshire show is always loaded with a great set of breeding hogs with many breed-changing boars coming from that venue over the years. We feel the Champion from this year’s show is one of that caliber. Fairly new to the Berkshire breed, but no strangers to success in it are the Knight Brothers. Ryan and Tyler along with father Brad, have made a big splash in recent years producing some of the most sought after breeding stock at the Summer Type Conference. Most of that due in part to their Different Strokes sow. She is the dam of the Champion & Reserve Gilts at the 2014 STC along with their $16,000 Boar & $17,000 Gilt at the 2015 STC. Most importantly she is also the dam of DARK KNIGHT, the $12,000 Fall Classic Champion Boar that we are privileged to own. Thanks to the crew that bought in on him including Gentry Genetics, Hood Showpigs, and Rich McClasland. We think this one is a freak of a Berkshire boar and one of our favorites to show in some time. He has Crossbred muscle and mass with incredible power. A huge center rib with a big back and hip that compliment his huge chest floor and great width going away. Level designed and tall fronted as well as sound and flawless when in motion. We are excited to offer this trio of Fall Classic boars and feel they are amongst some of the best we’ve offered. DARK KNIGHT has been well received since Duncan and we feel he will make an immediate impact on the breed.
