Our annual spring visit to then Down farm was highlighted by a pair of red boars he had on feed. A pair that both offered lots of positives and intrigue certainly had our attention. We made our pick of the pair and couldn’t be happier with the results! The other brother went on to be named Champion and sold for $31,000 at Louisville; further cementing the depth and quality we felt those 2 boars offered! Stand Down is one unique specimen of a Duroc Boar! Extremely stout featured and heavy boned. Huge feet and legs construct his stout skeleton. Dense in his body shape and design. Massive back that is shapely and wide. Huge pins with a big rib cage and burly center body. Stout skull that still offers length and extension. Tall fronted and good patterned from the side. A barrow sire for sure in how he combines muscle expression and heaviness of structure. Great boar from an awesome litter! Make the competition back off & retreat when they have to encounter a Stand Down!!!
