Heading to the Indiana State Fair, a lot of people thought we were off our rocker for wanting to find another Duroc boar with the set we had already laid in this summer. Our reason was very simple, with the summer Light ‘Em Up had and the popularity of the new red boar purchases we felt we could definitely justify another one. Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine we would find one this good that could fit into this set already in place. Many thanks to Flash Farms for teaming up to help us own this one. The Fullback son drove by Meg Meeker & Tim Dare blew us away out of the gate in the first class of boars. PLAYMAKER was the one we knew we needed to own and excited us for how loose spined and flexible he moved about the ring. He is one that really gets out and fills his tracks along with coming and going both square and wide at the ground. PLAYMAKER maintains this width advantage at the base of his chest as he comes at you bold and wide and leaves the same way. We love this one from the side, as he is tall shouldered with incredible show hog look. When you analyze this one up high you see that width stays his advantage down his top as he is busted open from blade to hip. He has great volume of muscle that should be just right to make those barrows that are hard to beat and gilts that are fun to feed. PLAYMAKER comes from a history of winning show hogs that have dominated the IL Duroc shows over the years on the sow side of the pedigree. His mother is a littermate to the Champion Duroc Barrow at both the 2013 National Barrow Show & Illinois State Fair. We feel PLAYMAKER fits right into the mix of this stable of red boars and has been the favorite of many visitors. If your game plan is to make Duroc show hogs that can go out and win title after title then you may want to make sure you put your whip or pipe on a PLAYMAKER!!!
