When one defines the word Catalyst, it often means “something that causes a change.” From the moment this guy hit the ring in Iowa, we knew he was the perfect piece we needed to add to our already powerful boar battery! The way this trendy, black-spotted herd sire floated around the ring with flawless structure and soundness was only the beginning of our excitement in this one. Catalyst is one that blows you away with his impeccable width and dimension. He comes at you wider and squarer than most and leaves you with that same impressive width. Study this one on the top side of his skeleton and you will find a monster topped boar that is blown open in his blades, along with carrying around an enormous hip and rump. Add in his dead level skeleton, huge body cavity, and up-headed show ring attitude, makes this guy a changer!! To top things off, Catalyst comes from a terrific mother. She is the mother of Zinger, the Reserve Champion Crossbred boar at the 2010 WPX. Nathan calls her his donor cow as he never sells a gilt out of this impressive showpig momma!!
